MyBrandOfHeroin was an idea that started when Kya was hosting a domain giveaway. I had been contemplating opening a Twilight fan site for a while because none of the ones I visited provided helpful information. They were mostly about the movie, and I just love the books. Also, I thought Twilight deserved a website like the HP Lexicon for Harry Potter. Basically, in a nutshell, I wanted to create a plethora of information on everything and anything Twilight. Also, I had been looking around for a Twilight lovers clique for some time and couldn't find one and thought it would be fun to open one.

So I entered her contest and crossed my fingers. In the mean time, I started brainstorming name ideas because, if I didn't win, Lauren and I had decided to open it on my blog's domain, Dottish.com, as a subdomain. Eventually, we went with quotes. We brainstormed our favorites and narrowed it down to "You are exactly my brand of heroin." and "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb." Then came the narrowing of the actual name, I mean, we couldn't very well open a site with a crazy long name. Finally, MyBrandOfHeroin was settled upon.

Not that long after deciding upon a name, I received an e-mail on my way home from the mall. I was bored and decided to check my e-mail via my phone's internet. To my totally shocking surprise, I found an e-mail from Kya congratulating me. I had won one of three! Before the shock even set in, I called Lauren totally freaking out and MyBrandOfHeroin came to be later that week.
